Daniel J. Evans, Jr.

Dan Evans, Jr. is a communications professional with proven experience in corporate and investor communications and counsel. Dan has an over 17-year track record of executing winning communications strategies for domestic and international NYSE, NASDAQ and AMEX listed companies.

As the head of investor communications and public relations for leading companies such as Hutchison Telecommunications International (NYSE: HTX; SEHK: 2332), Clearwire (NASDAQ: CLWR) and The Ackerley Group (NYSE and AMEX: AK), Dan developed, led and executed communications strategies that delivered tangible results. Dan has also worked for and consulted to leading International corporations such as Hong Kong based Hutchison Whampoa Ltd., top-ranked institutions like University of Washington Medicine, Kidder, Peabody & Co., and the NBA′s Seattle SuperSonics.

With an extensive corporate background, Dan understands the importance of a well thought out communications plan built on the backbone of a fiscally responsible budget. Dan has led many successful campaigns including NYSE listing events, feature articles in well-regarded publications such as the Wall Street Journal, public and private company M & A and award-winning community service projects.

As important as it is to build the right communications strategy, Dan is also keenly aware of protecting an organization′s most valuable asset - its reputation. Strategies and tactics must anticipate potential outcomes and their impact on the institution′s reputation. Warren Buffet once said, ″If you lose money for the firm by bad decisions, I will be very understanding. If you lose reputation for the firm, I will be ruthless.″ Wise counsel.

Dan was born in Seattle and is a life long resident of Washington State. He attended Whitman College and following graduation returned to Seattle where he lives today. Dan is an active member of the community and currently serves or has served on the board of directors of Make-A-Wish Foundation of Alaska, Montana, Northern Idaho & Washington, Crystal Mountain Alpine Club (CMAC), Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI) Foundation, CityClub, Junior Achievement and MOHAI. In addition Dan was a founding board member of The Benefit Gang, now known as Seattle Works, an innovative volunteering network for young adults in Seattle.

Dan and his wife Celia work hard to keep up with their three children Eloise, Isabelle and Jackson all of whom are very active in school, music, sports and art.
